Had breakfast for dinner on the way through town. Kids meals are $6.25-$6.75 and include a drink, entree, cookie, and fries/tots/salad. What a great deal! This place was so cute. Seemed very clean too.
While in Helena Montana to attend a wedding we stayed at the Marriott. Shelly’s Cafe was just across the parking lot. We had breakfast and lunch here many times during our stay. The staff were some of the friendliest people I’ve encountered. The food was good with big portions. I would highly recommend.
We had such an incredible experience at Shellie's Country Cafe that I just had to share! From the moment we walked in, the service was unbelievably fast and efficient. We were seated quickly, our order was taken right away, and we were completely in and out in just 30 minutes—which honestly amazed me considering how fresh and delicious everything was. The corned beef & cabbage was phenomenal—perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and absolutely delicious. It tasted like true homemade comfort food and was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. What really made the experience stand out, though, was our server Jonathan. He was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed. It’s rare to see service that smooth and professional. I was genuinely stunned by the excellence of service here. Great food, lightning-fast service, and a welcoming atmosphere made this visit unforgettable. Came in for the second time today and the food was really good again! I love breakfast foods and this place does it really well. My server Dani (spelling) took great care of me!
This was my first time at Shellies. I noticed it has a lot of great reviews, and a few stragglers that post negative reviews. Based on the negative review recently, I expected dirty tables, nasty food, and rude staff. But alas, it was not so! Good (great) food, great customer service, and a clean friendly environment! I know every person is different and expectations vary, but if you want good food that is not portioned like chain restaurants, shellies is a great breakfast spot. Keep it up!
Gwen was so sweet! Pistachio pie was one of the best pie slices I’ve ever had! Bathroom could use some cleaning in the sink corners.
WOW! From the time you walk in, this place is wonderful. Been here several times and realized I haven’t done a review. The business is a staple in town and is open 24hrs, which you don't see much anymore in smaller towns. The menu is huge, great selection of food. This morning I had the special which was potatoes grilled, add cheese, eggs of your choice, meat choice and gravy. It was delicious! Only ate half as it's quite big. All of the staff is wonderful as well! Our server was Aniston. She's great, keeps the drinks full, very friendly and made sure we were good to go, and if we needed anything to let her know. The restaurant also has a HUGE salad bar, no other food items needed if you have this. It's fresh as well. Highly recommend this place. Great staff, food and staff!! Enjoy
The food was pretty good. There was a bit too much spics and salt on my boyfriend's prime rib. But the dumpling soup was really good. So was the salad and my spaghetti special. And I am a cheesecake snob but their New York cheesecake with strawberries was really good, even if I was full. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean and inviting. The bathrooms were also clean and bright!
Zero complaints, this place was so welcoming! We went here for my birthday a few weeks ago, our server was great, quick, and polite. The food was great, and the portions were a little larger than expected, but hey, thats not a problem for most people🤷♀️. I got a small salad bar plate, and that in itself could have been a meal, I was kinda expecting something like the size of my hand, but it was more like a normal dinner plate. I also got chicken strips and fries (I have the taste buds of a toddler, dont judge) and honestly it was overall a great meal, and a great experience!
I ate dinner here with my wife and I was quite impressed! We enjoyed the taco salad, finger steaks, and coconut cream pie. The food was good, but the thing that really stood out was the service. The staff was friendly and our server, Ryan was very attentive and provided exceptional service. The finger steaks were even tasty as a leftover the next day. 😋
